On March 17, 2020, the U.S. Embassy in Tirana suspended all routine consular services due to the COVID-19 pandemic, including the provision of routine U.S. citizen services. As of October 22, 2020, we will begin to re-open routine U.S. citizen services on the following timeline:
Beginning Thursday October 22, 2020, we will resume processing applications for Consular Reports of Birth Abroad (CRBA). CRBA appointments will be available on Fridays. CRBA appointments can be scheduled by following the instructions provided at our web page here.
Beginning Friday October 30, 2020, we will resume processing applications and renewals of full validity, non-emergency passports. Routine passport appointments will be available on Wednesdays and Fridays. Those appointments can be scheduled by following the instructions provided at our web page here.
Beginning Wednesday November 4, 2020, we will resume routine notarial services. Notary appointments will be available each Wednesday. Notary appointments can be scheduled by following the instructions provided at our web page here.
