On January 27th a group of “Andon Zako Çajupi” high school in Tirana visited the U.S. Embassy. This group of students is also one of the teams in the upcoming Model UN conference. Accompanied by their team leaders Peace Corps Professor Marty Feess and English Language teacher Albana Koci, the students visited the Information Resource Center where they met with a few officers of the Embassy. The Assistant Public Affairs Officer, Brian Street, was the first one to meet with them and tell them about how his career with the State Department started and how he enjoys working in Albania. Brian also talked to them about the educational opportunities and the exchange programs available for them. Andrea Wells, one of our officers at the Regional Security Office talked about her professional life with the State Department and how different it is serving in various countries and getting new experiences. Andrea answered a lot of questions from the very inquiring students regarding her career, her studies and how they helped her be in this position today. The students were very pleased to have Ambassador Lu pose with them for their traditional photo at the stairs of the embassy.
